From Godsmans's History of Ellon (1958) pp 166-7:

Moss Side, 50 acres.

The land of this farm was reclaimed from the heather by William
Ingram, 1829-1914, and Margaret Lamb, 1828-1915, his wife. He was the
son of George Ingram, 1795-1871, and Janet Mackie, 1792-1872,
Colehill, Ellon. Mr Ingram was in the holding in 1850.

His wife, Margaret Lamb, was a descendant of Andrew Lamb or Lambie,
the trumpeter of Fyvie. They had sons, Charles, born 1858, John, born
1872, presently in Boghead, Dudwick, and a daughter Janet, born 1860.
Mr and Mrs Ingram died at Boghead, Dudwick, the residence of their
son John.

1919, John Duncan and Elizabeth Oldman 1878-1934, his wife. 1957,
George Clubb, a native of the parish of Cruden, and Jane Duncan, his
wife. In 1949 Mr Clubb removed from Moss of Ellon to Moss-Side, and
bought the holding from the representatives of Annie Thomson.

1957, four crofts in this area are occupied by James Paterson, a
native of Strichen, and Flora Beedie, his wife, a native of
Fraserburgh. In 1954, Mr Paterson bought Moss-side croft from James
Bruce, presently residing in Ellon. Moss Croft is occupied by James
Jaffray, born at Cairnleith, who removed from Skelmuir in 1948. He
succeeded Mrs Watson. In 1910, the tenant is Willian Mortimer, 1870-
1926, and Margaret Duncan, 1861-1930, his wife, who are in the
holding in 1900.

Hosefield, 12 acres, formerly Croft at Moss of Ellon, is occupied by
Ernest James Berry, a native of Jamalpur, India, and Pattie Ball, his
wife, a native of London. Mr Berry is a GPO engineer. In 1950, Mr
Berry succeeded Donald Bain, from whom he bought the holding. In
1919, the tenant was David Anderson, 1853-1932, and Isabella Gall,
1861-1930, his wife.

Moss of Ellon, 44 acres. 1880, William Robertson and Jane Ingram.
James White, 1850-1919, and Margaret Alexander, 1848-1911. 1919,
John Buchan, 1957, Arthur Robertson from Auchenchries.

The above holdings were purchased in 1919 by Alexander Thomson.
