The Parish, and (from 1855) Registration District of Peterhead only
extends inland about 4 miles. The Parishes/Registration Districts of
Longside and Old Deer lie between it and New Deer.

Modern maps do not show the boundaries of the parishes/RDs, apparently
because they are no longer used as administrative units. Aberdeen and
North East Scotland FHS (http://www.anesfhs.org.uk) sell a series of
outline maps which show the boundaries of the parishes/RDs, along with
dates for which the Old Parish Registers and civil BDMs are available
for each.
