Hi Jerry (and hi Sue!)

I also have Black/Moffat connections in Ontario. I don't see them in your
outline, but the location is suggestive. Did Robert have siblings who came
over with him?

Georgina Black m. William Beattie 15 Feb 1861 in Nichol Twp, Wellington Co.
William's parents were from Aberdeenshire, but I don't have any information
about Georgina.

I also have a number of Irish Blacks and a Moffat who married into the
Patterson family, and settled in Grey County, Ontario.

Do you see any connections?
