Hello again Jacqui, Can you tell me if you have a copy of your great
grandfather's marriage certificate, and what it says. Is his mother deceased?
The Jane McKerron you mention the daughter of isabella Geddes died unmarried
but there was also another Jane who was born about the same time who also
died unmarried. I have been having a hard time myself with this line as well
as a few others. Did you know that although Jane's surname was McKerron a
lot of them were known as Grant's?
Have you looked at the 1851 census for any other area as well as Aberlour?
Would it be too much trouble for you to let me have your line to add to my
database of McKerron's, we are trying to connect every line up to the present
day and all help is appreciated. I will of course share anything i find out
with you.
