Posting interests regarding my paternal grandmother Mary Ann DARGIE. Have the following information just received.

Mary Ann Dargie, February 5, 1885 (birth certificate), Wellington, Peterhead, Aberdeen
Father: George Dargie, mother Isabella Calder (Married 1881, February 14, Lonmay, Aberdeen)

Father's Occupation: Farm Servant

Must confess I'm hoping this is the correct birth certificate. I'm awaiting further confirmation from the Canadian government in terms of documentation where she may have specified her place of birth. Based on the age on her marriage certificate, this would be the correct one, although I've spent 2 years following a Mary Dargie from Forfar, Angus born 1884, only to find she passed away at an early age. Do know she had brothers and sisters, and left Scotland at an early age on her own, as a domestic. Married in Toronto Canada in 1911.
