Rear Karen,
I have just been going through a backlog of emails I saved because they were
interesting and I can't believe I didn't reply to yours straight away. I
have some Aberdeenshire Quakers and some of them have the same names as
yours.
Here goes:
James ARGO and Ann GLENNY(d 29 Mar 1797 bur in Quaker Cemetery -Kinmuick)
had-
John ARGO(twin born 1773) m Jane LESLIE*
and
Alexander ARGO(twin born 1773) m Margaret EMSLIE

* John and Jane had quite a few children including another John, who in turn
called his first child John Cruikshank ARGO. I have a rather poor photocopy
of the younger John's marriage record which is a Quaker certificate complete
with guests' signatures.
I'd love to hear from you and share more information.
Regards,
Cathy Purcell

Hi,
Is anyone else out there researching Aberdeenshire
Quakers? The main families that I am interested in are
the Cruickshanks, Elmslies and Glennies. If anyone
else is chasing these families as well I'd love to
hear from you.
