- Diane, I seem to have some of the same surnames from the same areas -
Leochel Cushnie /Coull/Lumphanan. I have Hannah Tough and John Buchan with
a son John Buchan b.23 Apr. 1823, an Elspets Laing d. 1794 was m.to Duncan
McRobie. A Peter Laing m. Janet Simpson and had son Alexr. b. 1815. Alexr.
married Christian Craigmile in 1855. There is a Jane Craig Dunn m. William
Craigmyle in 1882 at Windseye, Coull and Margaret Dunn had an illegitimate
dg. Susan Strachan Craigmyle to Andrew Manson Craigmyle in 1864. A Samuel
Craigmyle m. an Ann Dunn in Leochel Cushnie in 1871. There is a Peter Ingram
m. to Mary Esson - date unknown at present (early 1900`s) and a Jean Berry m.
a John Davie in 1792 at Lumphanan and so it goes on!!! Could there possibly
be a connection there somewhere?
