I am Dennis Kaye from Ontario, Canada
My grandmother was an Ewing.
Her grandfather (Gordon Michie Ewing 1825-1914) emigrated from Aberdeenshire
in 1855 with his wife (Mary Leith) and their children on the "Jane Boyd"
arriving in Perth County, Ontario, Canada in June. The family moved to
Muskoka, Ontario, Canada in 1865.
Mary Ann 1844 Mosside Newmacher
Elizabeth 1846 John Knox Parish, Aberdeen City
Isabella 1848 Craigearn, Kenmnay-1926
William Michie 1850 Braeneil-1947
Hannah 1852 Braeneil
Catherine 1856-1937
Wilhemina 1860-1940
The latter two were born in Canada.
I would appreciate contact with anyone who could help me elaborate on my
early information. Gordon Michie Ewing's father may have been the gardener
at Castle Fraser.
