Hello Kate.
I am a Johnston. My grandfather Alexander Johnston, b. 29.4.1869, d. 2.2.1950 married Jane Weir, b. 27.9.1872, d. 8.4.1951.
Alexander was 60 yrs vet. at Fyvie. They got married at Monymusk, and both died at Hazeldean, Fyvie.
Jane`s parents were Robert Weir, b. 7.5.1829 at Clatt, d. 14.10.1904, and Ann Matthew, b. 26.11.1826 at Fyvie, d. 27.11.1901 at Gordonstoun, Aucherterless.
They married 7.6.1862 Chapel of Gairloch.
Robert`s parents were James Weir, d. 11.4.1938. Married 28.4.1811 Parish of Leslie to Barbara Reid, d. 21.1.1850. They are both burried at Leslie Cemetery.
James was farmer at Boghead of Clatt.
