** I would recommend having a look at the children of William Rhynas
& Jane Allan who were
born in Aberdeen, to see if their father was a Master Mariner. You
could also
have a look at the 1851 census of Aberdeen to see if there is a
William Rhynas
family with a James Edward ofnthe right approx. age among the
children.
