West Bandodle is still a farm, although the others are I suspect, and in
the case of Hill of Bandodle know, are homes for people working in
Aberdeen, being within easy commuting distance. It is likely they were all
crofts/farms in the 1800's with workers staying in houses which have now
been demolished.
The map shows a road/track running from West Bandodle through to Bandodle
without accessing the public road so it seems likely there was a greater
community of interest there than there is now.
If you are comming over, drop me a note, and I'll do what I can to help
out. Ballater is a great place to stay.
