Fought in Chicamauga, Shiloh, and Murfreesboro before medical discharge due to rheumatism. According to his letters his only injury was a scratch on his hand where a bullet grazed his fingers.

I have a privately printed book, containing some letters to his sweetheart/wife? not sure when he married Josephine Elizabeth - niece of John R Henry, veteran of the battle of San Jacinto.

He wrote in great detail about various people and events, including the battle of Shiloh, Lubbock's death, The Terry's, William Perry who he served with, and was his best friend, apparently.

Appreciate any further information.
