Welcome! Not sure how to go about finding out about the brothers, but a very
good source to find

out about Spaights 11th is thru Hill College in Hillsboro Tx.  They have a
great Civil War library/

museum there and are very helpful and knowledgeable about a lot of the Civil
War info.  My brother

and I visited there about 10 years ago.  They share information about the
different units and also

want information about the same.  In fact, they have an original 11th
Spaights battle flag that they

brought out, unrolled and let us see.  It is in very poor condition.  But,
to say the least, it was a

very moving moment for us.  I used to live in Tyler County (Woodville)TX and
there were quite a

few Rawls in that county, is that where your ancesters were from, or do you
know? My ancester

was actuall in company "C' of the 11th, he was from Sabine County TX.

Hi Friends:  I am new to this site.  I just found out I am a direct
descendant of the 6 Rawls brothers (My mother was a Rawls) who fought in Co.
D of Spaight's 11th.  Can anyone tell me how I can find more (as much as
possible) information about these boys?  Thanks in advance!
