God bless you John, I have asked many many people about this and no one had
even an inkling about
what he might have played, so thanks. Have you been to Hill College in
Hillsboro TX. Did you know
that the 11th Battalion has their flag stored there? My brother and I
visited there several years ago and
when they found out that our ancestor ws in that unit, they brought it out,
unrolled it (it is packed in special
paper)while wearing white gloves and let us look at it. It was quite a
moving experience.
